Five Tips On How To Wash Silicone Sex Doll Wigs
Looking after your silicone sex doll is very important to most owners, as they want to spoil their lovely ladies and make sure they always look their best.
As well as keeping them clean and hygienic, they should also wash their wigs from time to time to stop their hair from matting.
Here are some tips on how to keep your doll’s hair looking shiny and glossy.
Every 15 wears
How often you wash the wig really depends on how much you use your sex doll. They shouldn’t need to be washed frequently, but the general rule of thumb is giving them a shampoo every 15 to 20 wears so it stays looking its best.
If it begins to look lifeless, even if this is before the 15 wears, this is a good indication it is time to get it under the water.
Comb it through
Before you even get the wig wet, use a wide-toothed comb to brush through the hair. Start at the tip of the hair and work your way up to the roots to remove any tangles, but always go in a downwards motion.
Make sure not to pull too hard, as this will stretch the hair fibres and could risk pulling them out.
Soak the hair
Now it is time to let the wig soak in a basin of cool water mixed with special wig shampoo. Let it sit there for around five minutes, or slightly longer if the wig is particularly dirty.
Do not use shampoo that has been designed for real hair, and do not attempt to rub the treatment in or wring the hair out, as this will cause it to break.
Rinse it thoroughly
Once it has been left to soak for a few minutes, rinse it thoroughly in tepid water. Make sure all the shampoo has been removed by seeing if the water runs clear. Failure to do so will result in a wig that is greasy and matted.
When placing it under the tap, the water needs to flow from the root to the tip. This will prevent any further tangling from happening.
Condition it well
After this, empty the basin and fill it with clean cool water. Put a couple of capfuls of wig conditioner into the water, as this contains special oils that will add shine to the hair fibres and prevent them from becoming dry.
Dunk the wig into the solution and swish it around in the water. You could let it soak in the basin for up to ten minutes for a really healthy, glossy look.
Rinse again
After this, make sure you follow the same rinsing procedure you did after shampooing. You need to ensure all the conditioner has been removed at this point, so it does not look greasy.
Blot it dry
Once all the conditioner has been rinsed out, pat the wig with a towel to get rid of the excess water. Do not wring the hair out, comb it, or use a heated hair dryer, as this could cause damage to the wig.
Simply let it dry naturally at room temperature on a wig stand for best results.
